Work with us
We aim to attract great people and to pull together the very best project teams on behalf of clients and communities. We search for those with deep technical expertise and a quality orientation, who lead with something more than their professional skills. It matters to us that TWC team members are both skilled and kind.
Why work at TWC
We’re committed to ways we can do things differently and to empowering team members to influence our new directions. This point of view is reflected in our unique approach to recruitment: we will confirm you have the skills we need, but expect us to ask how you’re feeling along the way. We want our team and new hires to sense there’s something special happening here, and to feel: I’m a part of it.
We believe actions are the measure of intent. We prioritize Indigenous recruitment and opportunities for equity-seeking groups, creating clear pathways for the development of next generation leaders.
Growth opportunities
As a TWC team member, we support your career growth and encourage opportunities for learning in your areas of interest. We want to know what matters to you — from formal training and education to job shadowing and mentoring — so you can grow along with us.
Competitive compensation
High-level performance requires competitive and equitable compensation. Our approach to remuneration values both individual and team contribution. We provide an annual compensation review and clear benchmarks for growth.
Comprehensive benefits
We invest in the people who invest in us, offering extended benefits like vacation, RRSP matching, health and dental, EAP, PTO, flexible work options, volunteer time, life, and disability insurance.
Flexibility
We understand that work-life balance is important. That’s why we offer flexible hours and schedules, along with the choice to work in-office at our Victoria or Vancouver offices, remotely, or in a hybrid model—whatever fits your life.
Our commitment
Diversity is built into the fabric of who we are and it’s a core component of what makes us distinct. We advocate for diversity, representation, and belonging, not only because they align with our values and are long overdue, but because they support a genuine business case. We see the capacity to come at things from more than one angle as a competitive advantage.
A diverse team and outlook allows us to navigate multiple perspectives within an ethical space and to work toward project outcomes that are representative of the communities they intend to serve. Our clients and partners benefit from the challenge function and second look we can provide.
We’re careful not to overstate our strides in this area, given substantive, industry-wide change is still required to advance reconciliation and because the process of dismantling colonial frameworks is only just beginning. We are a work-in-progress, but we are committed to doing the work.
Application process
Step 1: Application
Start by exploring our website and job postings to understand what we’re all about. Create an account in our portal and submit your resume and cover letter. Once we’ve received it, you’ll get a confirmation email.
Step 2: Screening
All applications are reviewed by a member of our team, whether it’s People and Culture or a technical team member. If your qualifications align with the posted role or a different opportunity, we’ll reach out.
Step 3: Interview
If selected, we’ll schedule a Microsoft Teams interview. Our two-interview process, each 30-60 minutes with a two-person panel, is conversational. Between interviews, we’ll request a writing sample or short assessment to understand your skills better.
Step 4: References
Once we’ve narrowed it down to our top candidate(s), we’ll request your reference contact information, and a member of the hiring team will reach out to your references. Once the reference checks are complete, we’ll let you know if we’d like to proceed to an offer.
